Complete
the Meeting Aesclepius mp3 (located in the Doc Sharing area). Describe your
meditative practices for the week and discuss the experience. Explain how
mindfulness or meditation has fostered an increase in your psychological or
spiritual wellness. How can you continue to apply these practices in your life
to foster greater health and wellness?
For this exercise it seems that I was struggling with focusing on the
meditation, which I usually do a great job.
I guess was not fully relaxed like I should have been. It seems like I am just running off of water
right now, this time not only did it make me sleepy, but I feel asleep. I have four kids when I get home from my full
time job to attend. The music is calm
and it just knocked me out. It felt good
though, it was like a power nap. These
exercising would give me more of a peace of mind, and a healthier stress free lifestyle. I just have to put them to use.
Describe the saying:
"One cannot lead another where one has not gone himself" (p.477). How
does this apply to the health and wellness professional? Do you have an
obligation to your clients to be developing your health psychologically, physically,
and spiritually? Why or why not? How can you implement psychological and
spiritual growth in your personal life?
This is
something that I see every day, how can the blind lead the blind. Eventually we will end up going on the wrong
path. In order for me to inspire someone
or teach them, I have to be a living example, so that they can see, that they
too can do anything. My obligations to
the clients are to maintain and my mental, physical and spiritual growth a
healthy one, again be an example. I can implement
this by surrounding myself around positive things and people.
